Signal Pilot

Pentarch v1.0 Quick Reference

One-page cheat sheet for cycle phase identification

🎯 The 5 Cycle Events

Signal Color Position Phase Key Characteristics
TD Purple Below candle Accumulation Oversold, below the Pilot Line
IGN Blue Below candle Markup Momentum breakout, bullish structure shift
WRN Salmon Above candle Distribution Extended, momentum weakening
CAP Red Above candle Climax Extreme extension, exhaustion detected
BDN Pink Above candle Decline Structure break, bearish shift initiated

📋 Common Signal Sequences

FULL CYCLE: TD → IGN → WRN → CAP → BDN
EARLY CYCLE: TD → IGN
LATE CYCLE: WRN → CAP → BDN
BULLISH REVERSAL: BDN → TD → IGN
BEARISH REVERSAL: CAP → BDN

These are shapes the events have been seen in, not an order they fire in. The Pentarch reference page is explicit that a clean full cycle is what makes a chart worth learning from rather than what most charts print, and that CAP followed IGN more often than WRN did across the measured sample. A cycle that skips an event is ordinary.

⚡ Quick Interpretation Guide

Early-Cycle Signals (Bullish Potential)

  • TD: Accumulation phase detected, downward exhaustion
  • IGN: Markup beginning → Momentum shifting bullish

Late-Cycle Signals (Caution/Reversal Potential)

  • WRN: Distribution detected → The cycle is late
  • CAP: Upward exhaustion detected, the cycle is at its end
  • BDN: Decline initiated → Bearish structure confirmed

🤝 What the Three Read Together

The Trinity (three sources, not one)

  1. ✅ Pentarch pattern (any of 5 signals)
  2. ✅ Janus Atlas level within 1-2%
  3. ✅ Volume Oracle spike, a z-score of 2.0 by default

Example: a TD on a Daily Low with a volume spike at that threshold is one reading with three sources agreeing, rather than three readings.

With Harmonic Oscillator

  • IGN with a Harmonic BUY/STRONG reading: two instruments describing one condition
  • CAP with a Harmonic SELL/STRONG reading: two instruments describing one condition

Scalping (15m charts)

  • Enable: TD, IGN only
  • Disable: WRN, CAP, BDN
  • Label Size: Tiny or Small

Day Trading (1H-4H charts)

  • Enable: All 5 signals
  • Label Size: Small or Normal

Swing Trading (Daily charts)

  • Enable: All 5 signals
  • Label Size: Normal or Large

⚠️ When NOT to Use

❌ Sub-5-minute charts (too much noise) ❌ Low volatility/tight consolidation ❌ Thinly traded symbols (the Augury Grid page carries the liquidity floors) ❌ 30 min before/after major news (FOMC, NFP)

🔧 Troubleshooting

"I'm not seeing signals"

  • Switch to 1H/4H/Daily charts
  • Check if market is consolidating (normal)
  • Test on BTC, SPY, EUR/USD first

"Too many signals"

  • Increase to higher timeframe
  • This is normal during high volatility

"Signals disappear mid-bar"

  • This is normal! Signals confirm at bar close only
  • Set alerts to "Once Per Bar Close"

📊 Timeframe Suitability

Timeframe Suitability Notes
5m ⚠️ Noisy Scalpers only, more whipsaws
15m ✅ Good Minimum recommended
1H ✅ Excellent Day trading sweet spot
4H ✅ Excellent Swing trading
Daily ⭐ Best Clearest patterns
Weekly ✅ Excellent Position trading

🎯 Reading the Events

  1. Read fifty events or more before judging anything
  2. Combine with levels (Janus) + volume (Oracle)
  3. Start on Daily charts (clearest)
  4. A TD on its own is one source; a TD on a level with a volume spike is three
  5. Not every TD leads to IGN (incomplete cycles are normal)

📖 Key Concepts

  • Non-Repainting: Signals confirm at bar close and never change
  • Four-Layer Detection: All signals require 4 confirmations
  • Pilot Line: dynamic trend reference, carrying the regime colour (green bullish, red bearish, gray neutral)
  • NanoFlow: cross marks on the candles, showing the micro-trend
